- Here in rural Georgia, where there are no animal control services or shelters, countless dogs and puppies are abandoned every day. SoCo Rescue exists to fill this critical gap, providing safety, medical care, and hope for animals with nowhere else to turn. Once a month, our “Freedom Ride” transports adoptable dogs to New Jersey where pre-approved adopters meet their new best friends. Watching a dog step off the bus and into the arms of their forever family is the heart of everything we do. As a non-profit animal rescue, we rely heavily on donations and fundraisers to keep saving these homeless, neglected and abused animals and help them find them homes.
