- Description
- The riparian buffer of Rock Creek in Curtis Arboretum was long negelected and become a wilderness of invasive species and vines. The Buffer Brigade is its eighth year of restoration work: removing invasive plants and vines, planting trees and understory bushes, cleaning up trash and maintaining large portions of the Arboretum in order to improve the water quality passing through the arboretum, as well as beautify the whole area and improve conditions for wildlife, pollinators and park users. Funds from Lynch Creek sales will be used to purchase trees, equipment, fencing and cover ongoing costs of the restoration.
